Understanding the Alexander Wang Brand: With a large company like Alexander Wang, it’s not always possible to meet with the major stakeholders or even discuss the brand with consumers. However, there are still alternatives to learning about the brand and the consumer thoughts on the brand. For stakeholders, we can find interviews and YouTube videos with Alexander Wang, and for consumers, we can find candid and unfiltered opinions on fashion discussion forums.

UI Design: The desktop checkout process already exists on the AW website, but they don’t yet have a mobile version of the website. Development between a mobile and desktop checkout would not vary too much between the process of a desktop site and a mobile site so the structure and checkout process remains largely unchanged.

Personal Takeaways: The design or redesign process starts with understanding the business goal of a rebrand and moves towards the brand and identity of your client, and meets their end user at every step of the design process. An intimate understanding of all three are vital to the success of any design project.
